PlateMate price update: €4,950 from 1 December 2026
From 1 December 2026, PlateMate's list price increases to €4,950 ex. VAT and the warranty extends from 2 to 3 years. Here is what's changing, why, and what it means for you.
What’s changing
On 1 December 2026, the list price of PlateMate increases to €4,950 ex. VAT (USD 5,900 / DKK 46,500 incl. Danish VAT). Until then, PlateMate stays at the current price of €4,220 ex. VAT.
From the same date, every new PlateMate ships with a 3-year warranty — up from 2 years today.
We want to be upfront about why.
The software has outgrown the price
PlateMate’s price was set for the system it was at launch. Since then, ForceMate has grown far beyond it — video capture (upcoming), balance testing with center of pressure, pogo jump testing, live jump detection, expanded isometric analysis with rate of force development and time-to-peak, and more — all delivered as free updates to every customer.
Some of the newer capabilities, like video capture (upcoming), also carry ongoing cloud and API costs. Because PlateMate has no subscription, those costs are carried by the one-time price — not passed on to you month after month.
One-time payment stays
Most force plate systems on the market are sold on recurring subscriptions. Our model doesn’t change: pay once, own your system, own your data, and keep receiving software updates at no extra cost. The new price is what keeps that model sustainable while we continue developing both the hardware and the software.
A 3-year warranty
PlateMate is anodised and hand-assembled in Denmark, and we trust it to last. From 1 December 2026, we’re backing that with a 3-year warranty on every new PlateMate — a full year more than the current coverage.
What it means for you
- Order before 1 December 2026: current price of €4,220 ex. VAT, with the current 2-year warranty.
- From 1 December 2026: €4,950 ex. VAT, with the 3-year warranty.
- Existing customers: nothing changes — your software updates remain included, at no cost.

Frequently asked questions
Does my existing PlateMate get the 3-year warranty?
The 3-year warranty applies to PlateMate orders placed from 1 December 2026. Systems purchased before that date keep the warranty terms they were sold with.
Will software updates start costing money?
No. PlateMate remains a one-time purchase — software updates stay included at no extra cost, with no subscription.
Are other products changing price?
This change applies to PlateMate, and to bundles that include it. Other products and accessories are unchanged.
