Questions about the software

How much does the software cost?

The software is completely free when you purchase one of our products, and everything included with it stays free for life — including updates. If we ever add optional services that cost us to run (like high-volume API access or AI-powered features), those may be priced separately, but the features you buy with will never move behind a paywall.

Does the software work on tablets or phones?

Our software works on Mac and Windows computers and on iPad. You can measure with all three products on iPad – just note that PlateMate and GroinMate require the Wireless Module, an add-on sold separately. A Linux build exists but is no longer actively maintained, so we recommend Windows or macOS.

How many users can use the software?

There is no limit. One owner sets up your organisation in ForceMate Cloud and invites as many coaches and athletes as you need. Coaches see the organisation's data; athletes see their own.

Is the API free?

Yes. API access is included with your products at no extra cost. Create a key in ForceMate Cloud and pull tests, metrics and raw force-time data into your own tools. Use is subject to fair-use rate limits, described in the API documentation.

Can I bring my data from VALD, Hawkin Dynamics, Kinvent or Meloq?

Possibly — what can be moved depends on what your current system lets you export. Contact us and we'll look into it together, so you don't lose your testing history when you switch.
